The paradise on earth: Who is really looking for silence and relaxation, is optimal accommodated in this former farmhouse near Periana. The owners needed a building time of 5 years to finish painstakingly in style of the Alhambra in 2003 the three lined up housing units on the old ruin walls.
The spacious property in single location with private pool, relaxing area and car park for the totally 4 housing units is 4 km far from Periana and offers breathtaking views on the Lake Viñuela, the wide hills with olive trees and the sea. Good, asphalted access. Additionally there is an apartment with fantastic views on the lake, the valley and the sea (see also apartment Azahar).
If requested an additional common room with kitchen + WC can be made available for all lodgings free of charge.
The nearby Periana with its various shops and the old church entices to a small stroll through the place with taking a little glass of wine in a bar or a substantial Andalusian meal in one of the restaurants.

The common room with flat screen TV as well as separate kitchen, terrace, barbecue and WC can be used free of charge by all tenants of the Azahar for seminars, common meals, celebrations etc.
Periana is located 58 km far from Málaga and 23 km from Vélez-Málaga, in 547 m height. It has 3.700 inhabitants.
Except several historical houses, streets and places many shops, restaurants and bars also invite to a visit.
Because of the well conditioned C-335 you need only 20 minutes to the Mediterranean Sea. Who prefers swimming in the lake, needs only an 8 km trip to the large Lake Vinuela, which shows itself every day in an other kind of fascinating blue.
Periana is surrounded of mountains, of which jut out the top of La Umbría (1.352 m) and the mountain ranges of Carrión and Pinto. So far as you are able to look in the direct surroundings of the place, you see soft hills with olive and fruit trees and grain.
The peach of Periana is the most famous of Spain. The economical and the festive life of this village is all about this fruit. At the end of August / early in September, when the sales reach its climax, starts the peach party, which has already a big resonance.
The patronate festivities take place on 15th May in honour of St. Isidor Labrador. When the throne of this patron saint is being carried through the streets of the village , the inhabitants present wheat to him.
The history of Periana goes back to prehistoric periods, because important sites and settlings were discovered: Cerro de Capellanía, El Fuerte, Llano de la Matanza, Rio Seco and Cerro Alcolea.
The Moslem past of this region is proved through the Arabic baths of Vilo, healing waters, which have been used until 19th century. A visit still worth it today. The baths are only a few kilometers north of the place.
